Ms. Yvonne Dupree Monroe, 57, of 2052 Pilson Road, Sanford, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at her residence.
“The Lord is my Salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, whom shall I be afraid?”
The first blessing is the gift of life. Yvonne Dupree Monroe affectionately known as “Ballie” was born August 10, 1963. On Saturday, September 12, 2020, Yvonne Dupree Monroe received her last blessing and entered into eternal life. She was the second youngest of seven children, and was born to the late Alexander Monroe Sr. and Margaret Monroe. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Jean and Elizabeth.
Yvonne was a member of Mt. Nebo Freewill Baptist Church until her health failed. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed going to the beach. Yvonne enjoyed helping others. It made her happy to share whatever she had. She has touched many lives and will be truly be missed by family, friends, and former co-workers.
Yvonne leaves to cherish: her sons, Carl Monroe, Timothy Monroe, Ariel Monroe and Jordan Swann; in addition, Derrick Fox and Jimmy Fox whom she also considered her sons; her only grandson, Jahlil whom she adored; two brothers, Curtis Monroe (Jacqueline), Alexander Monroe Jr. (Sandra);two sisters, Linda Smith and Annette Monroe; one brother-in-law, James Bandy. Yvonne has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins who loved spending time with her and talking to “Ballie”, as well as a special friend Kenneth “Kenny” Baker.
Arrangements are entrusted to McLeod Funeral Home of Sanford, North Carolina.
