Mr. Willie Edward Williams, 67, of Woodbridge, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. 

Mr. Willie Edward Williams was born on January 31, 1956, to the late Willie and Lizzie Barnes. God called him home on January 24, 2024.

Willie was raised in Albany, GA. He attended Monroe High School and graduated in 1974. He attended Albany State University and continued his education at Fayetteville State University for  Computer Engineering.

He joined the military and was active for 20 years. Over the course of his career, he traveled extensively to various countries. He attended First Mt Zion Baptist Church in Woodbridge, VA. He had a passion for cooking, fishing, DJing, bowling, and football. His favorite team was the Philadelphia Eagles.

Willie enjoyed his family and friends. He had a very special relationship with his mother-in-law, Maggie Clemons.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Beathe Clemons Williams of Woodbridge, VA; a sister, Tania Mack of Albany, GA; a brother, Alfred Mack (Darlene) of Smithfield, GA; three children,  Wade Clemons (Margaret) of Sanford, NC, Marlene Foxx (David) of High Point, NC, and Tracey Roberts (Robin) of Gastonia, NC; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; special friends, Greg Kitchen and family, Alfred McKnight and Gene Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews.

VIEWING: Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Murchison Chapel AME Zion Church.

FUNERAL SERVICE:  Saturday, February 3, 2024 1:00 pm at Murchison Chapel AME Zion Church.  Interment   

 

Both the Viewing and Funeral Service are held at Murchison Chapel AME Zion Church 5165 Olivia Road Sanford, North Carolina 27332.
