Mr. Willie C. McAllister, 77 of Aberdeen, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at his residence.
Willie Clarence McAllister Sr. was born in Moore County, NC on October 6, 1945 to the late Owen and Doretha McAllister Sr.. Willie, affectionately known as WC or Mack,
transitioned from his earthly home into eternal rest on January 5, 2023. His brothers, James Hubert and Marvin McAllister, preceded him in death.
He attended Pinckney High School in Carthage, NC. He furthered his education by attending Auto Mechanic School. Willie went on to serve his country by joining the US Marine Corps.
During his time of service, he was a Military Police Officer and received the following medals: Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and a Vietnam Service Medal. He
was medically discharged from the Marines in 1970 and pursued more education by attending Bull City Barber College. He became a skilled Barber in Durham, NC. Through the years, he
explored other careers such as long-distance truck driving, maintenance, painter, plumber, mechanic and carpenter. He was known as a “Jack of all trades” for his many talents.
Mack never met a stranger. He would talk to anyone at any time and found common ground to converse. He was a collector, fisherman and gardener. Every year, he would plant
a garden and enjoy harvesting his produce. Being on the fishing banks were relaxing times for him. Some of his talents/skills were passed to some of his children. Wayne possesses his
barbering skills; Willie his fishing skills; Chris (son-in-love) his gardening knowledge.
Deacon Mack loved the Lord. He had strong faith and held on to it until he took his last breath. Throughout his health struggles, he would say he was believing for healing, if not on this side,
then on the other side. He firmly believed there was a loved one at the gate waiting to escort him through the gate when the time came.
He fiercely loved his family and would be where needed at a moment’s notice. He leaves to cherish his memories of love: his wife Cordelia McAllister (of the home), his children - Willie
McAllister Jr. (Tonya) of Carthage, NC, Wayne Cagle-Rockingham, NC, Yolanda McAllister-Carthage, NC, LaTonya Bowe-Carthage, NC, Latasha Wallace (Chris) of Greensboro,
NC, bonus sons Thomas Cameron and Donnie Berry; his brother Owen McAllister Jr. of Carthage, NC; twenty-two grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Mattie Berry; one honorary daughter, Jennifer Williams along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Willie has run his race, finished his course and is now at rest.
