Mr. William T. Lane, 66, of 500 Dudley Street, Sanford, NC, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 30, 2020.
Mr. William Thomas Lane was born in Chesterfield County on February 14, 1954. He was son of the late Mr. Calvin Lane, Sr. and Mrs. Lottie Jane McQueen Lane. Mr. Lane was converted in his early youth and joined Smithville A.M.E. Zion Church.
He attended Robert Small Elementary School and Long High School. At a young age he moved to Sanford, NC. He worked doing general labor.
William leaves to cherish his memory; two brothers, Calvin Lane, Jr. of Cheraw, SC and Donnie Franklin Lane of Columbia, SC; four sisters, Sylvia L. Hines, Barbara Harper (Ronald), Gloria Jean Harper and Patricia Diane Lane, all of Cheraw, SC; two aunts, Mrs. Geneva James of Greensboro, NC and Mrs. Idell Ford of Cheraw, SC; several nieces, nephews and a host of family members and friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to McLeod Funeral Home of Sanford, NC.
