SGM William Leroy (“Bill”) Jones, Jr., US Army (Ret), quietly and peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 29, 2023. He was born August 5, 1931, in Jacksonville, FL and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the faithful and devoted husband of Alice Hamlin Jones (deceased) and father of Bobby Leroy Jones, Brenda Jones Travis, and Donald Michael Jones.

Due to COVID, all attendees MUST wear a mask.   Additionally, the family will not be receiving visitors or accepting food at the family home and nor will they host a repast.

The entire service, including military recognition, committal, and closing will be held at Sandhill United Church of Christ in Aberdeen, North Carolina on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Interment at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, North Carolina, will be at 10:00am, on Monday, December 18, 2023, as authorized and coordinated by the U.S. Army.
