Ms. Vernadean Denise (McNeill) Perkins, 64, of Aberdeen, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at her residence.

We gather here to celebrate the life of Vernadean Denise Perkins. She was born in Moore County on December 1, 1959. She departed this life at her home on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Vernadean was a loving and happy person who loved to braid hair and found great joy doing so until she became disabled years ago. She was a childcare provider at Janie’s Playhouse Daycare  Center, where she enjoyed coming up with neat and untraditional meals for the kids to eat.

Vernadean was always happy, full of life, with a bright smile. She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her precious memory are her daughters, Lakisha Bertke (Travis), Lakeya McNeill, LaShawnte’ Perkins, and Janaydia Tender; her mother, Janie Stubbs; her father, John  Stubbs; a brother, Charles McNeill; a sister, Chanikqua Stubbs; ten grandchildren, Tyajha, Xzayvier, Zhariya, KyAundrei, Keyonnie, Jelaiya, Mylanni, A’onesty, Loyalty, and Promise; her aunt,  Alice Boulware (Roosevelt); along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Vernadean will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
