Susan Michelle (Chester) Cramer

Susan Michelle Chester Cramer passed away on February 6, 2020 at Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, North Carolina. She was born on August 31, 1960 in Sacramento, California, to Thelma and Duane Chester. She was a 1979 graduate of Cumberland County High School, Crossville, Tennessee. She married Paul Benton Cramer on November 27, 1987 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Susan worked as an event planner, antiques dealer, and home maker.  She enjoyed the simple pleasures of home through the love of cooking and entertaining. She built a lovely “nest” as, her mother would say, for her and Benton.  Susan had a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She was devoted to her many cats, dogs, and horses over the years and loved her pets dearly. She will be missed by everyone she touched in this life.

She is survived by her husband Benton; her brother Scott; her father and mother in laws Jesse and Daneen Gore; her sister in laws Aimee Chester and Tracey Cramer; her three nieces, Jessica Cramer, Lindsay Chester, and Kristen Chester; and her West Coast family. In the spring of this year, a private family service to remember Susan will be held in the mountains of North Carolina.
