Shelia Jeanette Gilmore

Mrs. Shelia Jeanette Gilmore, 61, of 151 Crowatan Trail, Carthage, NC, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at her residence.

Shelia J. Gilmore was born January 4, 1959 in Moore County, North Carolina to James C. & Helen T. Smith. She is one of eleven siblings: James Russel (JR), Maudie, Harold (deceased), Jerrold, Margaret (Jesse), Vera (Jay), Wanda (Walt), Janice, Wilma (deceased), and Gail (deceased). She attended school in Moore County.

In February of 1977, Shelia was united in marriage to David L. Gilmore, brother of Bishop Willie R. Gilmore of Carthage, North Carolina. From this union was born two daughters: Dedria (Chris Russell) & Miracle along with two grandchildren: Elijah & Aaliyah (Miracle). Shelia also acknowledges Bruce Gilmore and Issac Smith as her sons.

Shelia served her church, The Fellowship House of God, as Deaconess where she was known to always have the Communion prepared on time! She went on to become a Minister on November 7, 2004 and on July 3, 2005 she received her Evangelist license. Shelia also became the first Elder of The Fellowship House of God Church in 2016.
