Mr. Russell Lee Crump, 77, of Sanford, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at his residence.

Russell was known for his love of sports, especially basketball, where he played and attended Horton High School. He served in the United States Army from 1969-1971. He retired from Perdue in 2012.

His wife, Edna Crump, a brother, Louis Crump and a stepson, Robert Alston, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Carla Crump of Raleigh NC, Rachel Williams (Gerome) of Sanford, NC, Jeanette McSwain, Faydene Barnes and Gerdine Gordon; his  stepsons, Richard McSwain, David McSwain and Earl McSwain; his sisters, Barbara Headen of Durham, NC, Veronica Thomas of Snow Camp, NC, Sabrey Smith of High Point, NC, and Mary Wynn (Clint) of Petersburg, VA; his brothers, Clavon Crump of Snow Camp, Larry Crump (Beverly) of Pittsboro, NC, and Kenneth Crump of Moncure, NC; three grandchildren, Treshun Reaves, Caleb and Cassie Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
