Obituary

Ms. Rosa Lee (Deberry) Lloyd, 80, of Spring Lake, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Central Carolina Hospital.

Rosa Lee (Deberry) Lloyd departed this life on January 25, 2022, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC.

Rosa Lloyd was born on May 7, 1941 in South Carolina to the late Edmond Deberry and the late Roberta Deberry Ocheltree. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lemmie Lloyd, Stepfather: Billy Ocheltree, two sisters: Gertrude Alford and Mary Ann Bernard, and one brother: Norman Deberry.

She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and joined Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Spring Lake, North Carolina. She was a faithful member of the Usher Board and the Mother’s Board.

Rosa worked as a Nursing Home Assistant, a Private Duty Health Care Provider, and a Factory Worker.

Rosa, better known as “Coot”, did not have biological children of her own, but out of an abundance of love, she provided a home for two boys.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two stepsons: George Ocheltree, Spring Lake, NC and Larmarion Ocheltree (Michelle), Sanford, NC; three sisters: Fannie Reed (Frank), Charlotte, NC, Hattie McNeill, Spring Lake, NC, and Lucy Merritt (Bobby), Garner, NC; two brothers: Edmond Deberry (Lessie), Roanoke Rapids, NC and Larry Ocheltree (Katrina), Sanford, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
