Ms. Rita B. Wirts, 68, of Sanford, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 11, 2022 in Sanford, North Carolina.

Rita B. Wirts, age 68, of Harnett County, NC, transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, August 11, 2022.

Rita was born on November 1, 1953, to the late Mary Morgan and James Pratt. She was later adopted and raised by her mom Mammie Brooks. Rita graduated
from Benhaven High School.

Rita was a faithful member at Love Grove AME Zion Church of Sanford, NC. While attending Love Grove, she also sang in the Choir. Love Grove Church was
near and dear to her heart.

In her early years, she found love in the healthcare field, where she worked as a CNA. Rita worked at just about every nursing home in Sanford, NC, and Pittsboro, NC. Rita had a passion for taking care of the elders.

Rita was preceded in death by her daughter, Renetta Brooks, granddaughter, Rayanna Brooks, sister Faith Petty, and brother, Robert Brooks. Rita leaves to cherish her memories her only son, Terrence Brooks of the home; daughter, Sharita Young of Sanford, NC; seven grandchildren, Dajeour Maynear, Renetta Young, Devon Simone Locklear, Tamyra Young, Dajah Brooks, Dakahari Strong, and Serenity Strong; one great-grandson Drew Lamar Young; one on the way, one sister, Denise Morgan of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Jerry Sturdavant of Virginia, and Terry Johnson of Baltimore, MD; two nieces, Keria and Shantal Morgan; nephew Marquis Morgan; one aunt, Jackie Brooks; one uncle, Hubert Sturdavant; two special daughters, Jessica and
Whitney Brown; a close granddaughter, Crystal Privette; a special son, Randy Minter; her close special friends and other relatives and friends.

*The family will receive visitors at 200 Char-Lin Drive, Sanford, NC.  Visiting hours will start at 11am daily.   At the family's request everyone that enters the home must be masked.*
