Preston Louis Howard

Mr. Preston Louis Howard, 66, of Cameron, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Central Harnett Hospital of Lillington, North Carolina.

Mr. Preston Howard was born to the late Henry McNeil and Estella Howard Fuller on June 14, 1955, in Lee County, North Carolina.

Preston was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. Preston will forever be missed by those that loved him.

Preston started farming at an early age, and then he started working at Hallman's Foundry and McCrae's Logging until his health declined. Preston joined Green Grove AME Zion Church in Cameron, North Carolina, in 1992. He was a faithful member until he could not go, but he still supported the church financially. Preston served on the Trustee and Usher Boards. Preston was also the maintenance man of the church.

Preston was preceded in death by his sister, Lora McNeil.

Preston leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Cynthia Howard of 48 years; children, Keisha (Wildred) of Cameron, North Carolina, Jeffrey McIntyre (Juli) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Whitney Howard of Cameron, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Keyshaun and Kamaria Steadman; two brothers Edward McNeil and John Henry Gilmore; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
