Ms. Patricia Durant Moore, 64, of Aberdeen, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at FirstHealth Moore Regional in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
“And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it” (Ecclesiastes 12:7)
Patricia Durant Moore, 64, entered eternal peace with the Lord on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Patricia, also known as “Pat, Tricia, Pat Pat,” was born on July 21, 1961, to the late Logan Durant Sr. and Rose Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Logan Durant Sr. and Rose Williams, her sister, Maria Williams, and her brother, Logan Durant Jr.
Today, we honor the extraordinary life of Patricia Durant Moore, a woman who has survived more chapters than most storybooks and still managed to have a comeback sharper than any doctor’s diagnosis. Patricia came into the world determined and has been out-laughing and outlasting life’s challenges ever since. Patricia is equally known for her loyalty. She was the kind of person who always had your back, even while giving you “the look” (get ready for the curse out) and turn around and feed you a piece of her famous hot fried chicken.
Her fight didn’t stop there. Patricia faced hospitals, emergencies, and even life support twice, battles that would have knocked out almost anyone else. Yet she rose again, every time, proving that “survivor” isn’t just part of her story; it’s her entire spirit. Through it all, she never lost her humor. Even at her lowest, Patricia could still remind everyone to lighten up and turn pain into moments everyone could smile about. Patricia’s greatest joys were her family.
This living obituary is not a goodbye, it’s a celebration; a salute to a woman who survived the streets, survived the hospitals, survived the odds. May the world continue to feel your fire, your jokes, your loyalty, and your unforgettable presence for many, many years to come.
Patricia leaves to cherish her life and memories, her son, Jamar Durant of Greensboro, NC; two daughters, Shonta Gamble (Ronte) of Greensboro and Monique Moore (Bryan) of Charlotte, NC; her stepfather, Warren Williams of Southern Pines, NC; her significant other, Richard “Dinki” Gaines of Aberdeen, NC; her brother, Leroy Durant of Holly Springs, NC; her brother-in-love, Jimmy Williams of Fuquay-Varina, NC; ten grandchildren, Tae’, Tamari, Tarrin, Saige, Jaselyn, Ni’Zayah, Nolan, Ronte Jr, Elijah, and Raelynn; one great-grand, Alilo. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
As your stepfather, Warren, would say, “Don’t you dare say goodbye, it’s see you later!” We love you.
Please keep the family and friends of Ms. Patricia Durant Moore in your thoughts and prayers.
