Minnie L. (Austin) Ingram Obituary

Mrs. Minnie L. (Austin) Ingram, 80, of Aberdeen, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday May 8, 2025, at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in West End, North Carolina.

Minnie L. Austin Ingram, 80, of Aberdeen, NC, quietly departed her life on Thursday May 8, 2025 at Firsthealth Hospice & Palliative Care in West End, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the  late Rosie L. Tuck and Walter Sanders born on July 9, 1944.

She attended High School in Chatham County and graduated in 1962. She moved to Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and married the late Jimmy Ingram in 1962. She moved to Southern Pines, NC, in  1974 for open-heart surgery and decided to remain after recovering to raise Michelle and Dee.

Minnie loved her family, traveling, playing bingo, and word search books (and she had an abundance of them) while enjoying every minute of life. She had her own built-in Grams Glam Squad.  Each of her granddaughters played a distinctive part in beauty, hair, and clothing by helping her pick out and order clothing online. Her grandsons kept her technically up to date so she could troll  everyone’s Facebook page, stay hydrated with water, and put furniture together for her. She had a beautiful smile and a warm, nurturing spirit, yet a quiet, strong woman with a resiliency that did  not hold her back from enjoying people or things that filled her heart.

Her beautiful life will be cherished and etched in our hearts by her daughters, Michelle Parris of Raleigh, NC, and Dee King (Donald) of Jackson Springs, NC; Raymond Ingram, Jr., of St. Paul, NC who she loved as a son; her grandchildren, Jenaya Ingram, Lashonda Dockery, Chantay Ingram, Larry Dockery, Nikki Gentry and Anthony Parris; ten great-grandchildren; four great, great-grandchildren; her sisters, Josephine Powell (Greg) of Pittsfield, MA and Sara Sanders of Rochester, NY; her brothers, Arthur Austin of Pittsfield, and Labrun Austin of Rochester; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a very special friend to heart, Mrs. Carolyn Penland of Southern Pines, NC.

Minnie was preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Ingram; four sisters, Emma Richardson; Betty Jean Boyd; Shirley Minor; and Pearlina Glass, and three brothers, James Austin, Paul  Farrington, and Walter Farrington.

Please keep the family and friends of Mrs. Minnie L. (Austin) Ingram in your thoughts and prayers.

***** The family will be accepting visitors starting Wednesday, May 14th from the hours of 1pm - 5pm at 181 Mayhue King Drive, Jackson Springs, NC 27281. *****
