Markee Valentino Johnson, 53, of Raleigh, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
Born in Buffalo, New York on June 25, 1968 to the late Mary L. Johnson Jones and the late Elmer Vincent, Markee departed us on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
Markee attended School # 31 and Emerson High School. Later he took various trainings in the healthcare field obtaining a home health aid certificate, a nurse's assistant certificate, and a Phlebotomy certificate.
Although Markee began working at the age of 14, he held numerous jobs; the Townsend Chicken Plant and he spent over 30 years caring for people after relocating at the age of 18 to help take care of his Grandfather.
Markee accepted Christ at a earlier age and attended Calvary Baptist Church, Rose Hill Baptist Church and later on became a faithful member of Works For Christ Christian Center. Markee loved working with the youth ministry and Sunday School.
Markee also known as Kee, had a sprightly and welcoming spirit. He always kept a smile on his face and made people laugh from his jokes. Markee valued honesty and would always tell you how he felt. His favoirite saying was "I said let it go". Outside of work, some of Markee's hobbies included helping others, shopping, traveling, and attending various church functions.
Markee was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; two uncles, Chester and Gerald Johnson; two sisters, Tione and Monique; and three brothers, Rodney, Andre, and Adrienne.
Left to cherish his memory are several Godchildren; three brothers, David, Antone (Denise) and Ricky; one sister, Kim; a bonus brother, Earl Howard; a bonus sister, Tara McGhee; two uncles, Arthur, Jr. (Wanda), and Raymond (Celestine); and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
