Mrs. Lois Mae Hawkins Gilchrist, 81, of Cameron, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 7, 2025.

Mrs. Lois Mae Gilchrist was born on September 8, 1944, to the late Lily Joe and George Hawkins at Lee County Hospital in Sanford, North Carolina. Lois was a very loving wife, mother, 
grandmother, and friend.

Lois was very active at Green Grove AME Zion church until her health declined. She was a Deaconess, a Sunday School Teacher, and President of the Usher Board. She also enjoyed working as a CNA.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and other loved ones.

Those left to cherish fond memories of Lois are, her children, Jean, Suprina, Ada, and Shawn (Tyrone); a bonus son, Anthony Gilchrist; a special daughter, Jackie Dorssett; her grandchildren, Patrick, Rochelle, Iesha and Cori; her great-grandchildren, Rowan and Carson Einesman; her special fur baby, Charlie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lois will truly be missed.
