Linda Marie Clay

Ms. Linda Marie Clay, 76, of Sanford, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Central Carolina Hospital of Sanford, North Carolina.

Linda Marie Clay was born July 17, 1945 to the late Mallie Maryland Tuck-Clay and Daniel Worthy Clay. Linda let go of the toils of this world on September 14, 2021 at Central Carolina Hospital of Sanford, NC.

Linda was educated in the Lee County School System and attended W.B. Wicker School. She went on to work many years in produce with the Harringtons. Linda was the baby out of 10 children, 8 boys and 2 girls. She was the last of her generation and will be missed greatly.

Linda was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Lawanna Clay-McLeod; her son, Sim Monte' Clay; brothers, Lee Ander Tuck, Daniel Worthy Clay, Jr. (June), James Edwward Clay, Henry Wilton Clay, William Arthur Clay (Bill), Robert Edward Clay, Charles McRae Clay, and Ervin Lindo Clay; and a sister , Alma  Elizabeth Clay-Clegg.

Linda leaves to cherish her memories; Terrance Jerome McLeod "TJ" (Grandson), Tayla Javonne McLeod (Granddaughter); a special friend, Donald Jefferson (Duck); nephews, Larry Tuck (Freda), Jeffrey Tuck, and a very special nephew, Michael Anthony Clay; nieces, Janice (Clay) Petty, Camila Clay Berryman (Fred), Vada Tharp, Linda Tuck, and Tammy Clay; two sisters-in-law, Calli Amerson and Tammy Clay; her longtime best friend/sister, Linda Faye Reives; special cousin/sister Lelia Harris Blue, and a special loving cousin, Sonya Deneen Blue; and a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to McLeod Funeral Home of Sanford, North Carolina.
