Linda Lee (Hussey) Buie

Mrs. Linda Lee Hussey Buie, 71, of Hampstead, North Carolina, (formerly Broadway, North Carolina) entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear Lifecare in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Mrs. Linda Lee Hussey Buie was born to the late William Carlton Hussey and Emma Brown Hussey on September 26, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York. Mrs. Linda Buie transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear Lifecare in Wilmington, NC.

Linda attended Lee County Schools and shortly afterwards married Robert Bush. To this union, a son was born.

After the death of Robert, Linda later married Archie Buie. He was a loving and devoted husband who genuinely cared for her. Together they raised four children and enjoyed life to the fullest. Linda loved spending time with her family fishing, playing cards, listening to music, and bonding through conversation.

Linda worked at Khoury Company in Sanford, NC for many years. She then worked at Four Seasons Apparel in Sanford, NC until she retired, and later moved to Hampstead, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both husbands Robert Bush and Archie Buie, and two brothers, William Junior Hussey, and Larry Hussey.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Robert L. Bush, Anita Snipes (Damon), Loretta Donaldson, Archie J. Bush; her siblings, Michael Hussey, Barbara McRae, Eva Mae McDowell, Carolyn Griffin, Brandi Hussey, William Buie; grandchildren, Robert T. Bush, Kiara Mungo, Shanika Bush, Travis Bush, Dante Snipes, Devonte Snipes, Brianna Williams (Roderick), Jamesha Bush, Aiyana Donaldson, Lateshia Donaldson, Nevaeh Anderson, Grace Jacobs; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive visitors at 1035 McFarland Road Broadway, North Carolina from the hours of 5pm to 8pm daily.  Mask are required before entering the home.
