Mr. Lawrence Elliot Smith, 70, of Cameron, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

Lawrence Elliot Smith was born on November 28, 1954, in Fort Pierce, Florida, to the late John and Lurline Smith.

Lawrence was loved by many and had a gift for connecting with everyone he met. He never entered a room without making sure he knew everyone in it. His family described him as strong-willed, devoted, and a true believer in Christ.

Lawrence proudly served in the United States Army from June 1974 to March 1992.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Fredrick and Roger Smith, and his sisters, Henrietta Thompson and Cypriana Smith.

Those left to cherish fond memories of Lawrence are his three children, Brian Smith, and his wife Shauniko Smith, Kareem Smith, and Latoya Smith, all of Sanford, North Carolina; fifteen grandchildren, Mikal Bilal-Smith, Shaniya Smith Morrow, Shakira Smith, Shayera Smith, Malaki Smith, Jovan Smith, Karina Smith, Isiah Smith, lzreal Smith, Kareem Jr. Smith, Future Smith, Jazmiya Smith, Kamaya Smith, Esmeralda Smith and Lyrics Alston.
