LaBrent Lamar "Chee-Chee" Jeter, 36, of 724 Lizzie Jeter Lane, Cameron, NC, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. LaBrent leaves to cherish his memories; his parents, Sharon McRae (Roderick) and Wayne Battle (Karen); his siblings, Helena McRae, Trey McRae, Destinee' McRae, Kevin Battle, KaRon Battle, Kentrell Battle, Maurice Battle, and Accia Foxx Randel.
Obituary
LaBrent Lamar Jeter, of Cameron, NC, was born June 24, 1983 to Sharon Jeter McRae and the late Roderick McRae and Kenneth Wayne (Karen) Battle in Cameron, North Carolina. He transitioned into his eternal rest on January 1, 2020. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James "Buddy" Jeter and grandmother, Helen Jeter.
LaBrent was a 2002 graduate of Union Pines High School in Cameron, North Carolina. He then attended Central Carolina Community College Barbering and graduated in 2013. LaBrent began working at an early age with his late father, "Sunny Boy" doing Pro Logging. He later ventured out working in manufacturing. He attended Green Grove A.M.E. Zion Church at an early age.
"Chee Chee" which everyone affectionately called him, loved to cut hair. Chee Chee was the family comedian and made everyone laugh. Chee Chee was a lover of family and friends and that love was showed by everyone he met.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Sharon Jeter McRae of Cameron, NC; father, Kenneth "Wayne" Battle (Karen) of Sanford, NC; sisters, Helen McRae, Destinee McRae of Cameron, NC, and Accia Randle of Sanford, NC; brothers, Trey McRae of Cameron, NC, Kevin Battle, KaRon Batle, Kentrell Battle, and Maurice Battle, all of Sanford, NC; grandmothers, Helen Nettles (Ben) of Cleveland, Ohio and Clemmie Simmons; great-grandmother Lessie McRae of Pinehurstr, NC; uncles, Clarence Jeter (Glenda) Michael Jeter, Greg Jeter (Tracy), and Timothy Jeter, all of Cameron, NC, Edward Battle, Jerrymack Battle, both of Sanford, NC, Melvin McRae of Cameron, NC, Marvin Nettles (Calle), Quinn Nettles, both of Cleveland, Ohio; aunts, Tonya Nettles Davis of Ohio, Marsha William (KT) of Sparta, GA, Ann Taylor (David), Cynthia Howard (Preston), Marie Jeter, all of Cameron, NC, and Edna Battle of Sanford, NC; great aunts, Linda McRae McPhatter of Fayetteville, NC, Louise Cameron and Emma McNeill both of Sanford, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
