Mr. Kenneth Fitzgerald Locklear, 60, of Aberdeen, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 5, 2026. 

Kenneth Fitzgerald Locklear was called from his active life here on earth to enter into eternal rest on July 5, 2026.

He was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina, on December 29, 1965, to the late Gertice Hill and Douglas Curtis Locklear. He was raised in the Berkley Community of Aberdeen, North Carolina.

Kenneth was a graduate of Pinecrest High School. He took some advanced electrical courses at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst. His employment included Moore County Schools and  Sandhills Community College until retirement. After retirement, he was self-employed providing lawn services.

Kenneth was blessed with a wonderful singing voice. He was a member of a men’s quartet group for years. He enjoyed performing in church programs and other activities. He accepted Christ at  an early age and was baptized. One of Kenneth’s pastimes was fishing with his friend Randy. He loved traveling to the coast or fishing locally.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Monica Locklear.

Those left to cherish fond memories of Kenneth are, his daughter, Zakeeah Graham (Tony) of Aberdeen, North Carolina; two sons, Aaron Drakeford and Jabez Locklear, both of Southern Pines,  North Carolina; a brother, Clifton D. Locklear of Kentucky; two sisters, Sonya Locklear of Vass, North Carolina and Julie Locklear of Tennessee; three grandchildren; a step-father, Carl Hill (Laura); life long friends, Charlene Graham and Randy Williams (family); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
