Ms. Katherine Stubbs, 94, of Southern Pines, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in West End, North Carolina.

Katherine Frye Stubbs was born on January 1, 1932, in Vass, North Carolina, to the late George A. Frye and Irene Davis Morrison. She departed this life on January 29, 2026.

Katherine was married to the late John Henry Stubbs Jr. After his death, she lived alone for many years. Katherine joined Harrington Chapel FWB Church in Southern Pines, North Carolina,  where she served as an usher, sang in the choir, and worked with any organization in the church that asked. She remained a faithful member until her death. Katherine loved people.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings.

Those left to cherish fond memories of Katherine are, two special nephews, Lee Anthony McNeill and Elsid Frye, as well as other relatives and many friends.
