Ms. Karolyn Johnson, 51, of Cameron, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Sunrise: Karolyn Denise Johnson was born on February 27, 1971, in Rockledge, Florida, the first child to Larry N. Johnson of Rockledge, Florida and MaryAnn Beauford of Fort Pierce, Florida. She graduated from Rockledge High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Tampa.

Karolyn worked in Corporate America for over 30 years, and was employed with Parexel as an Executive Administrator, at the time of her passing. She was also an entrepreneur and had several successful businesses. She was founder and CEO of I AM My Sister’s Keeper, (IAMSK, 2016), headquartered in Sanford, North Carolina. She was also President and CEO of KJ’s Global (2004), an Export Management Company, and most recently she became a certified notary and launched Karolyn Johnson’s Notary (2021).

Affectionately known as Pastor KJ, she accepted the call to preach and teach God’s Word in November 2004 under the tutelage of Reverend Dr. Earl B Mason, Sr. Karolyn had a servant’s heart and an unconditional love for God’s people. Karolyn also had a passion for teaching and launched Karolyn Johnson’s Ministries where she taught workshops on discipleship and Christian growth. Her transparency drew innumerable souls to Christ. Karolyn was ordained as pastor under Bishop Larry Ray of Body of Christ Outreach Ministries located in Sanford, North Carolina.

Karolyn was talented on so many levels, she spoke multiple languages, and played the clarinet, saxophone and piano. She loved God, the color purple, laughing, music, her family, friends, her faith, and her horses. To know Karolyn is to have laughed with or to have shared a kind word, whether a close friend or stranger. Being humbly social, a giver of herself and whatever she had; was a special gift upon which Karolyn was given. Those around her were drawn to her infectious and enthusiastic personality. Karolyn touched the lives of so many people in such a short amount of time. She accomplished so much before her untimely passing.

Sunset: On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, Karolyn made her transition from life temporal to life eternal at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She is survived by her parents, Mr. Larry N. Johnson and Mrs. MaryAnn Beauford; her sisters, Chandrea (Teena) Johnson, Omeakio Katrice (Andre bro-in-love) Tucker, and Thoshala (Thosh) Johnson; her children Martika Aussant and Kwamene Floyd; her God-children, Laprecious Brooks and Cameron Mayo; four grandchildren; five aunts; five uncles; eight nephews; six nieces; a host of cousins; special friends, Andrea Jeanette Kainz, Latonya Lucas, Jennifer Rowson, Randall Sharpe, Roger Williams, and Shawn Williams; Partners in Ministry; IAMSK Board of Directors: IAMSK-Kenya; IAMSK-PA and a host of family and friends. Karolyn was blessed and loved by so many.

Awaiting her heavenly arrival are her son Malik Ahmad Johnson, both her paternal and maternal grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Rest Karolyn and well done.
