Mr. Johnny McAllister, 82, of Aberdeen, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at FirstHealth Moore Regional in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Johnny McAllister, beloved husband, father, and Papa, entered eternal rest on April 13, 2023. Johnny was born November 16, 1940, to John Henry and Rozina McAllister in Moore County, North Carolina. Johnny was the baby of the family; he had six siblings, three sisters, and three brothers.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Rozina McAllister, Montez McAllister (sister), Rozina Hill (sister), Mary Ray (sister), John Henry McAllister (brother), Alex McAllister (brother), Johnny McAllister Jr. (son), Lisa McAllister (daughter), and Terrence Ellis (grandson).

Johnny was educated in the Moore County school system. Johnny worked in the Garment District for years until deciding to change his career path to Construction, where he labored faithfully with his hands and retired after 35 years of service. Johnny loved building things. After retiring, he moved back to North Carolina and could be found working his hands gardening; he was good at making things grow. Johnny returned to school, attending Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, N.C. Johnny became a Pentecostal Assembly of Jesus Christ member, known today as The Worship Center in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Johnny was a kind and generous man that loved helping when he could. Johnny was witty and a fun person to be around. He enjoyed cooking out and playing his favorite sport, golf. Even when he could no longer play because of his health decline, he faithfully watched it on television.

Johnny leaves to cherish his wife, whom he loved dearly, Diane McAllister; his motherin-law, Alverta Williams; his brother, Fred McAllister; children, Diana Odom, Melissa McAllister, Mahogony Williams, Kevin Williams, Travis Williams, and Jamel Williams; his godson, Caleb Verbal; his brothers-in-law, David Williams (Sharon), and Ralph Williams; his sisters-in-law, Beverly Williams and Mary Williams; his grandchildren, Dasha Odom, Daniel Odom, Cayden Sanders, Mason Whitfield, Dabnes Williams, Rahiem Williams and Madison Whitfield; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends including special nephews, Larry, Ronnie, Michael, Pete, and Edward.
