John "Tony" Anthony Brown

Mr. John Anthony "Tony" Brown, 51, of the Jackson Hamlet Community, Aberdeen, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Pinehurst Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

John Anthony (Tony) Brown was born on September 18, 1972, in Moore County, North Carolina. He departed this life on November 9, 2023, at Pinehurst Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Many loved Tony, as he had a warm, selfless personality. He had a big heart of love even for those he would sometimes say, “you have to watch them.” Tony reached out to help many people, especially seniors, no matter where they lived.

He started his trade as a brick mason while in high school. He had a keen eye and a love for the work. Tony had a special relationship with his co-workers.

He loved sports, with the Red Skins being his forever football team, and loved listening to music, especially R&B classics. Even while enduring his sickness, he could sometimes be heard singing along with the music. Tony would try his hand at cooking and did pretty good at it, with steaks being his specialty.

His family and friends will greatly miss him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Jonathan Dynell Jones (Ashley) of Cameron, NC and Eric Marquell Brown (Tasha) of Winston-Salem, NC; his daughter, Jasmine Dunlap of Fayetteville,
NC; four grandchildren, Dymir Maurice White, Jonathan Jones Jr., Vivionna Brown, and Kionna Brown; his parents, John and Brenda Brown of the home; his brother, Jarvis Brown (Cordelia)
of Wilmington, NC; his sister, Shalethia Brown of Aberdeen, NC; seven aunts; two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
