Mr. John Jeffrey Bennett, 62, of Southern Pines, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 23, 2024. 

John Jeffrey Bennett was born in Queens, New York, on May 24, 1962, to James and Penola “Kitty” Bennett.

John graduated from Pinecrest High School and joined the United States Navy until his retirement. He also worked for the United States Marine Corps.

John, the second oldest of four children, loved comics, music, and saving recipes. He was a positive man who always looked at life’s brighter side. He wrote encouraging and affirming words to keep a positive state of mind. He loved plants and gaming and was an avid New York Giants fan, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his beloved mother, Kitty Bennett, he is survived by his three children, Lamar Bennett of Charlotte, NC, Ericka Bennett of Southern Pines, NC, and Jordan Bennett of Charlotte; one brother, Scott Bennett (Jevonne) of Southern Pines; two grandchildren, Jordyn and Amelia; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

His father, James Bennett, brother, Michael Bennett, and sister, Lynn Bennett, preceded him in death.

As we remember John, we hold onto the many cherished moments we shared and the lasting impact he made on the lives of his loved ones.
