Joe Minter, Jr

Mr. Joe Minter, Jr., 82, of 194 Old Colon Road, Sanford, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Central Carolina Hospital. 

Mr. Joe Minter, Jr. was born December 20, 1937 in Sanford, North Carolina to the late Joe Minter, Sr. & Lillie Moore Minter.

Joe entered into eternal peace on December 3, 2020. He grew up in Sanford, North Carolina where he attended Lee Elementary School.

Joe worked many years at the plywood company in Moncure, North Carolina until he retired. He enjoyed playing the guitar. His friends called him the “Guitar Man”. He also loved to draw.

Joe attended World Faith Clinic Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina until his health declined.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; Joe Minter, Sr. and Lillie Moore Minter; Two brothers, James Minter and Samuel Minter; and One sister, Ethel Hancock.

Those left to cherish his memories are: His sister, Dora Minter McCutchen, of Sanford, North Carolina; A special niece and nephew, Ruth McCutchen and Tommie McCutchen, who took care of him; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
