Janice Marie (McCutchen) Clemons

Mrs. Janice Marie Clemons, 64, of Sanford, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, North Carolina.

Janice Marie McCutchen Clemons was born on June 9, 1958, to the late Thomas McCutchen Jr. and Dora Minter McCutchen of Sanford, North Carolina.

Janice gained her wings on November 1st, 2022.  She grew up in Colon and went to Lee Elementary School in Jonesboro, NC, and Deep River High School, where she graduated.  Janice worked at Eaton Manufacturing for many years until she went to work for W. Koury Sewing Company as a seamstress.  Janice decided to change careers, so she went into the medical field.  She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for over fifteen years before she retired.  Janice was an active member at New Endland A.M.E. Zion Church of Osgood, NC.  Janice loved spending time with her grandchildren, and her favorite thing to do was go to the beach.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Thomas McCutchen Jr., and her niece, Kim McCutchen.

Janice leaves to cherish her memories her husband, James Clemons of the home; two sons Antwan Clemons, aka Squirrel, and Cedric Clemons, aka Pig both of Sanford, NC; a stepson, Maurice Brown of Sanford, NC; four daughters, Marie Clemons aka Suga, Tamika McCutchen Spears, aka Pooh (Montae), Lakeshia McCutchen, aka Boo Boo, and Tanisha McCutchen, aka Moofy, all of Sanford, NC; a stepdaughter, Shemika Brown of Sanford, NC; two brothers, Tommie and Howard Lee McCutchen; tow sisters, Ruth Ann McCutchen and Darlene Jackson (John) of Sanford, NC; one aunt, Annie Ruth McCutchen of Long Island, NY; a mother-in-law, Maggie Clemons of Sanford, NC; seven brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law: fourteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

*The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm daily at 190 Old Colon Road, Sanford, North Carolina*

*MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER THE RESIDENCE AND FOR ALL SERVICES*
