Mr. James Anthony Rogers, 41, of Vass, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 3, 2026. 

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Anthony Rogers “June”, who left this world on January 3, 2026, surrounded by love. His passing was unexpected and has left a profound  emptiness in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

James was the kind of person who could light up a room without trying. He had a natural gift for humor and was always joking, laughing, and making sure everyone around him smiled—even during difficult times. His laughter was contagious, and his ability to find joy in everyday moments will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ameir Rogers, paternal grandparents, Eula McLeod, Irvin McLeod, and grandfather, Roy Lee Williams. 

To those who knew him best, knew that June was so much more than his jokes. He was a loving partner, a devoted father, and a steady presence. He loved fiercely and thoroughly, especially his family.

Those left to cherish fond memories of June are, his mother, Sandra Rogers; his father, James L. Rogers; his sister, Crystal Walker; his grandmother, Mary Williams; his fiancée, Raehlyn Jamison; his beloved children, Josiah, Sarenity, Amari, Amani, Malani, and Mila, who were the center of his world and who he loved beyond words; his uncles, Michael McLeod, James Walker, and Ralph  Rogers (Becky); his aunts, Ethel Williams, and Hazel Andrews (Ernie); and a host of other family members, and friends.

None of this feels real, and it doesn’t make sense that someone so full of life could be gone. The pain of this loss is immeasurable, and the grief is shared by family, friends, and all who were  fortunate enough to know him.

Though his time with us was far too short, June’s love, laughter, and spirit will live on in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten.
