Mr. Jamar Brooks Hailey, 43, of Pinehurst, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 29, 2026. 

Jamar Brooks Hailey was born on October 18, 1982, in Moore County to George Hailey and Debora Blue Hailey. He gained his wings on the evening of March 29, 2026.

Jamar attended Moore County Schools and later obtained his GED. He most recently worked for Pinehurst Detailing, where he took pride in being the “CEO.” He always had a smile on his face. Playing cards, shooting basketball, playing on his gaming system, and driving were how he spent his free time. And we all know how he loved to drive. He was always sure to brighten up a room, stepping in with the latest fashions. Always able to finesse his shoe game. Jamar loved to spend time with his family. Even if nothing was planned, he showed up!

He was preceded in death by his children, Jalae Sherell Brook Hailey and Zyniyah Zakaria Hailey; his paternal grandparents, Thornton and Mable Hailey; his uncles, Anthony Blue, Roy Lee McNeil, and Billy Joe McNeil; and his maternal great-grandparents, Acie and Dorothy Blue.

Jamar leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, George and Debora Hailey; his children, Brooklyn Lashay Peterson and Shania Jay Peterson; and Baby Peterson (on the way, with special companion Alanna Peterson); his grandparents, Barbara Blue Gilmore (James); and Nathaniel Cole II; his brothers, Temaris Hailey Sr. (Bertha), and Delmar Hailey (Tianna); his aunts, Melisa Blue, Learen Blue, Amanda Hyman (Wilt), Mary Hooker (Elwood), Faye Shanklin (Rob), Jennie Simmons, Marlene Hailey, Barbara Paige (Clarence), and Terry McKeithan (James); his uncles, Troy Cole, Timothy Person (Glenda), and Nathaniel Cole III (Briggett); his great aunts, Sandra Chambers, (Robert), and Dorothy Black; his great uncle, Lanny Cole; his nephews, Temaris Hailey II (Najjiya), Temiyan Hailey, Qeisan Hailey, Julius Jones, Demari Hailey, and Demeir Hailey; a great-nephew, Ka’san Hailey; a god sister, Ladonna Collins (Barry Jr.); a special sister, Carolyn Ryner (Adrian); and a host of special cousins and friends.
