Mrs. Hazel Lena Taylor Williams, 93, of Aberdeen, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in West End, North Carolina. 

Mrs. Hazel Lena Taylor Williams was born to the late Mr. Ernest Converse Taylor and Mrs. Eva Jane Williams Taylor on May 13, 1931. She departed this life on July 31, 2024, at the Hospice House in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Her husband, Ruldolph, both her parents, and twin girls preceded her death.

She was a housekeeper and a domestic worker for years. A graduate of Berkley High School, she was born and raised in Shiloh AME Zion Church in Aberdeen, North Carolina. A faithful member who loved her church and worked in all its departments, she was a dedicated Deaconess until her health issues became more intense.

She leaves to mourn her daughter, Reverend Anna L. Byrd of Aberdeen, NC; one brother, Ernest C. Taylor, Jr. of Greenville, NC; four grandchildren, Anna Lyles (Richard), Eldress Criptal Graham (Pastor Derick Graham), Henry Lee Byrd Jr., and Alla V. Murchison all of Aberdeen; and one niece, Kendra S. Taylor of Greenville.

Mrs. Williams was also blessed with devoted caretakers, Anna Herd, Teresa McKoy, Babara Mash, Bobbie Simmons, Jawarior McDermott, and FirstHealth Hospice. Their support was  invaluable, and the family extends many thanks to her grandchildren for all the care that you have given her during her sickness.
