Ms. Gwendolyn Frances Stubbs, 64, of Hoffman, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in Concord, North Carolina.
Gwendolyn Frances Malloy Stubbs was born to the late Noah Malloy and Helen Terry Malloy on January 23, 1958 in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
Gwen had six siblings; two sisters, Theresa Malloy and Patricia Malloy, who preceded her in death; two surviving sisters, Mary Penson of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Gladys Christian of Greensboro, North Carolina; two surviving brothers, John Malloy of Southern Pines, North Carolina, and Noah Malloy, Jr. of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Gwen joined Trinity AME Zion Church in Southern Pines, North Carolina at a young age. In the early ’80s, she relocated to Brunswick, Georgia, where she raised her three children with her husband during this time, Curtis Stubbs. Gwen was a kitchen manager at Mac’s Breakfast Anytime for over twenty years until her health declined.
Gwen leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Tori Joshua (David) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Dorian Stubbs of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Gwynnisha Stubbs of Concord, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Vanessa Stubbs, Marvin Rogers, Jr., Nysia Rogers, Sidney Rogers, Vakhya Verbal, & Amiya Verbal; one great-granddaughter, Aniyah Carson; a special friend Charles Morrisey of thirty years; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Many will remember Gwen for being nurturing, funny, hard working, loyal to family, bossy, and beautiful. Rest in peace, your work here is done.
