Ms. Glenda Denise McAuley, 69, of Sanford, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Pruitt Health, Durham, North Carolina.
Glenda Denise McAuley aka "Sista", was the daughter of the late Isaac McAuley and the Nettie Blue of Olivia, North Carolina. She was born on December 30th, 1952 and departed her life June 17th, 2022 at Pruitt Health in Durham, North Carolina.
Glenda "Sista" received her education in Oliva, North Carolina at Benhaven High in the Harnett County School Systems. She attended at that time Church of God in Broadway, North Carolina.
Glenda was famous for her mac and cheese, collard greens, and cherry cheesecake. She loved the Lord and, in her later years, attended True Gospel where she faithfully attended until her health would no longer allow it. She loved to dress up and wear her hats and matching shoes. She also loved to brag about her family and gather for a good meal.
Glenda enjoyed life and loved to travel and just live life to its fullest. She will always be remembered for her strong will, love of the Lord and love for her family and friends.
Glenda was preceded in death by her sister Christine Council and brother Melvin McAuley, Sr.
Glenda leaves to cherish her memories: one brother, James Solomon of Durham, North Carolina; her aunt, Lillie Monroe of Oliva, North Carolina; 3 nieces, Julie Farrington-Cheek (Sidney) of Goldston, North Carolina, Arnita Robinson (Michael) of Pittsboro, North Carolina, Tanesha McAuley of Atlanta, GA; one nephew, Melvin McAuley, Jr. of Fayetteville, and a host of cousins, great nieces & nephews, and friends.
The family will be accepting visitors at 226 Roberts Chapel Church Road in Goldston, North Carolina on Monday, June 20th and Tuesday, June 21st from 2pm-6pm.
