Mr. Eric W. Horton, 78, of Aberdeen, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Pinehurst Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pinehurst, North Carolina.  

On January 19, 2026, the Lord called Eric W. Horton home, better known as “Mr. E.” He was the son of the late Herbert and Lenora Wilkerson.

Eric was born in Kings County, New York, where he was also educated. He later moved to North Carolina and worked at Kings Wood Nursing Home for over ten years, and at Penick Village for over seven years, as a dishwasher.

Eric was dedicated to his faith and loved the Lord, giving his life to Him at an early age. He found joy in praying for others and sharing his faith, inspiring respect and admiration among those who  knew him.

Those who loved Eric and cherish his memory include, caregivers Mamie Hammond, Rachel Hill, Franklin Akins, Lamar Hill, Jasmine Hill, Brady Hill, Mrs. Emily, and many family and friends, emphasizing the community that supported him.
