Ella was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was quiet spoken, but stern when necessary. She was empathetic but loved life and laughter at the same time. The love for her church was almost as much as was her family and friends. Faith and service were personal to her, thus she served in several auxiliaries at St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the Comfort we ourselves receive from God.  2 Corinthians 1:3-4
