Elizabeth "Libby" Kersey

Ms. Elizabeth Kersey, 46 of Sanford, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 13, 2023, at her residence. 

The family will receive visitors starting on 10/17/2023 at 808 Hillwood St. Sanford NC from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm daily.

She was preceded in death by her father, Israel Ephram Wright, from Jamaica, her maternal grandparents, Joe and Mary Taylor of Sanford, North Carolina, and a sister, Sarah Kersey of Broadway, North Carolina.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Ester Mae Kersey of Fayetteville, North Carolina; six children, Taheisha Bethea, Gi’onna Bethea, Gregory Bethea Jr., Genesis Bethea, Marissa Cameron, and Jade Cameron all of Sanford, North Carolina; a niece/daughter, Phelicya Kersey, of Sanford; five grandchildren, Isaiah Bethea, Raiyas Bethea, Aurora Bethea, Macei Bethea, and Kha’riyah McKoy; seven siblings, Thomas Kersey, Mary Ann, Mary Ester, and Robert Wright, all of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Rosey Lanese, Duken Wright (Marcia), and Pancetta Beason, all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; her favorite cousin/sister, Karen McSwain; special friends, Carl McCall, Thomas Garner, and Jill Messenger all of Sanford; and a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends and family.
