Elizabeth Ann (Burch) Johnson

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann (Burch) Johnson, 71 of Sanford, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at UNC Health Care System in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  

Elizabeth Ann Burch Johnson, 71, of Sanford, NC.  God saw fit to call Elizabeth to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at UNC Healthcare in Chapel Hill, NC.

Elizabeth was born October 15, 1951, to the late Carton and Ada Burch.

Elizabeth attended Chapel Hill A.M.E. Zion Church in Broadway, NC.

Elizabeth loved to crochet, and she was also the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan.  She was a mother to many.  She believed if you worked hard you could achieve anything you wanted.  She was also a donor to SightLife, where she donated her corneas to give someone a chance to see.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, James Johnson (JR), her parents, Carlton and Ada Burch, two brothers, Larry Douglas and Carlton Burch Jr., and her sister Ada Grace Martin.

She leaves to cherish memories: three sisters Neomai Burch of the home, Penny Burch of Greenville, NC, and Katherine McCormick of Sanford, NC, five nephews Jazz (Charity) and Garren McLean, Steven Burch, Tony Burch, and Christopher Burch, three nieces Diane Howard of Greenville, NC, Adrienne Burch of Sanford, NC Angelic Burch of Tenn.., eleven great nieces, five great nephews, and eighteen great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
