Mrs. Elizabeth Huntley (Morrison) Hood, 68, of Aberdeen, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at FirstHealth Hospice  & Palliative Care in Pinehurst. 

Elizabeth Huntley Morrison Hood, known to many as “Libby,” was born on May 16, 1955, in Wadesboro, North Carolina, to the late John F. & Zelma Morrison. She gained her wings on October 15, 2023, at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in West End, North Carolina.

Elizabeth received her education in the Moore County School System. Elizabeth attended Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Elizabeth was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church until her illness.

She enjoyed watching the shopping channel, ice skating, music, and shopping.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Chimeka Hood of Aberdeen, NC, and Chemira Hood (Nick, Sr.) of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Michelle Thompson (Mark) of Raeford, NC; two brothers, Jimmy Dockery (JoAnn) of Raeford, NC, and Juan Morrison of Augusta, GA; three grandchildren, Nick, Jr., N’Mya, and Nyla all of Charlotte; two aunts, Dorothy Woodburn of Smyrna, GA and Mattie Harper of Brooklyn, NY; one uncle, Allen Morrison of McCain, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends of the family.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Emmory.
