Elder Angeline (Gore) McLeod Obituary

Elder Angeline McLeod, 64 of Summerville, South Carolina (formerly of Sanford, North Carolina) entered into eternal rest on Sunday March 9, 2025, at her residence.

Elder Angeline McLoed-Olasoji, a devoted servant of the Lord, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, was born to Alberta Rodgers and Herm Perks on March 17, 1960. Angeline grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, and was raised by her adoptive parents, Reverend Frank and Mother Thelma Gore. She graduated from South High School in Youngstown, Ohio, and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Liberty University.

Angeline, affectionately known as “Angie,” dedicated 28 years of her life to transportation management at Transdev. Her professional accomplishments, however, were surpassed by her unwavering commitment to sharing the love of Christ, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones. Elder Angeline was a member of OneWay Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor  Elijah K. Blue and Pastor Mariah J. Blue.

Elder Angeline McLeod-Olasoji was preceded in death by her son, Jovan Gillam; her adoptive parents, Reverend Frank and Mother Thelma Gore; her biological father, Herm Perks; siblings,  Robert Gore, Ramonia Smith, Myrtle Combs, and Barbara Williams.

She leaves to cherish many fond memories, her loving husband, Samuel Olasoji; her daughter, Jamila Gillam; her sons, Jamar Gillam (Mary), Dionta Gillam, Joseph Olasoji (step-son), and Samson Olasoji (step-son); her siblings, Kimberly Peaks-Ezell of Bedford Heights, OH, Tara Peaks of Atlanta, GA, Francine Turner of Youngstown, OH, Robin Rodgers of New York, NY, and  Gregory Cooper of Atlanta, GA; special friends, Elder Sonya Blue of Sanford, NC, Herbert Biggs of Raleigh, NC, Vicky Jones of Youngstown, OH, and Laura O’Neil and Chris Dobson, both of Raleigh.

Rest in peace, Elder Angeline McLeod-Olasoji. Your legacy of love, faith, and devotion will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.

Please keep the family and friends of Elder Angeline McLeod in your thoughts and prayers.
