Miss Dyaveon Albertha Jharyanah Oliver, 22, of Raleigh, North Carolina (formerly of Aberdeen) entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Rex Hosptial in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Dy’aveon Albertha Jharyanah Oliver “Yaya” Oliver was born November 7, 2001, at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. She passed on April 24, 2024, at 1:44 pm at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.
She leaves behind her mother, Wanda Simmons of Raleigh, NC; her father, Leith Burr of Bronx, NY; her sister, Caresse Simmons of New York, NY; brothers, Tommy Simmons (Ravean) of New Jersey, Brandon Simmons of Fayetteville, NC and Daniel Oliver of Raleigh, her uncles, James Knowings (Tracey) of Raleigh, NC, Darrell Knowings (Dorothy) and Larron Burr both of Bronx, NY; two godmothers Brenda Williams (Ricky) of the Eastwood Community in West End, NC and Charlene Afalobi of Bronx, New York; her grandfather, Zeke Burr; seven beautiful nieces; one handsome nephew;and a host of cousins; a special person she called her step-father, Carl Wright of Fayetteville, NC, her go-to person to ride around with; and last but not least, her best of best friends, Alicia Newton of Raleigh, NC.
Yaya had a love-and-hate relationship with school, but she enjoyed reading. Yaya loved reading different books, dancing, singing and making TikTok videos. She had this beautiful, angelic voice and would sing her heart out.
Yaya was so young and gone too soon. We will always miss you and love you.
