Mr. Donnie Ray McLean, 59, of Boston, Massachusetts (formerly of Olivia, North Carolina) entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 28, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Donnie Ray McLean, the youngest son of the late John Henry and Leola McLean, was born in Sanford, NC, on November 18, 1964. He lived a fun and joyful life and was a joy to be around. God called him home to glory on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Saint Elizabeths Medical Center in Boston, MA.

Donnie attended Western Harnett High School in Lillington, NC, and was raised in Murchison Chapel Church at an early age. Later in life, he moved to Boston, MA, where he lived for 29 years and worked as a construction worker and several other jobs.

Donnie was preceded in death by one sister, Joan McLean; two brothers, Ricky McLean and William McLean; five aunts, Rosie Bell McNeil, Ruth Ann Murchison, and Pam Preston, all of Boston, MA, Inez McLean of Olivia, NC; and Maggie Walls of Olivia, NC; three uncles, William Jones of SC, George Jones of Spring Lake, NC, and Willie McLean of Olivia.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, Mary Moore and Shelia Reid (Rodrick), both of Olivia, NC, and Sandra McLeod (David) of Sanford, NC; two brothers, Johnnie McLean (Nellie) of Fayetteville, NC, and Billie Buie (Jeanette) of Sanford; two aunts, Mildred McFadden of Boston, MA; Maggie Clemons of Olivia; two uncles, Walter Jones of New York and Reggie Preston of Boston; one sister-in-law, Bridgette McLean of Sanford; a very special cousin, Quintin Murchison of Boston; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
