Mr. Donald Marvin Jefferson, 63, of Sanford, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at UNC Chapel Hill.

Donald was born to James and Sarah Jefferson on March 1, 1960. Donald was educated in Lee County and graduated from Lee County High School in 1979.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronald Martin and James Hallie, III.

At an early age, Donald joined Chestnut AME Zion Church, where he was a member of the Junior Choir and served as a Junior Usher. After graduating high school, Donald went to New Haven,  CT, for thirteen years. He came back home and served as a Trustee at his church.

Donald was a person who had no enemies. If he could help you, he would. He was the guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He was very talented in roofing, painting, and flooring and he  took pride in his work. 

On Thursday evening, January 11, 2024, Donald Marvin Jefferson took his heavenly flight to be with the Lord. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, James and Sarah Jefferson; three sisters, Chandra Jefferson-Rogers (Dewey), Maureen Jefferson, of Sanford, NC, and Marva Jefferson-Ford  (Parrish) of Uniondale, NY; one sister-in-law, Rosalyn Jefferson of Broadway, NC; seven nephews, Isreal, Jamie, Shaquille (Jaz), Parrish, Joshua, Dewey, and Anthony; one niece, Brianna; one  great niece, Symone; three uncles, John Cameron (Joanne), Frank Cameron and Robert Cameron, all of Sanford; one great aunt, Bernice Rollins of St. George, SC; one bonus brother, Michael  Angelo Foxx (Lisa) of New Haven, CT; a special friend, Kathy Baker; and a host of relatives and friends.
