Derron Colby Williamson

Mr. Derron Colby Williamson, 22 of Cameron, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. 

Mr. Derron Colby Williamson was born on September 1, 2000, to Willette Davis and Darren Williamson. He entered eternal rest on April 24, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.

Derron attended Lee County and Harnett County Schools for his education. He later attended Job Corp to pursue a carpentry trade. Finally, he settled at Amazon and remained there until his passing.

Derron enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his nieces and nephews. Derron and the love of his life welcomed their first and only daughter Elysia Zahira in November 2021. She was indeed his pride and joy and the light of his life. Most recall after her birth, he used to say, “Look What I Made!”

For fun, Derron loved to shoot his firearms in the woods, play Call of Duty, and work out at the gym and shooting hoops. Derron was a fun-loving person and will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Vera Williamson and a brother Dominique Williamson.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his parents, Darren Williamson Sr., of Austell, Georgia, and Willette Davis, and stepfather, James Gilchrist of Cameron, NC; the love of his life, Timkwaja Drake of Fayetteville, NC; a daughter, Elysia Zahira Drake of Fayetteville; brothers, Jamel Davis (Natasha) and Darren Williamson Jr., both of GA, Waymon Harrington (Tamica) of Cameron, NC, and Dante Williamson and Darius Williamson both of Bronx, NY; his sisters, Shamier Robinson of GA, Daniqua Brown (Johnathan) of Sanford, NC, and Aaliyah Williamson of Bronx, NY; his aunts, Wandra Davis (Alfred), Sharon Fowler (Tyrone), Vicky Gilchrist, Deborah Gilchrist, Stephanie Malone, Shirley Kelly-Parson and Renee Austin; his uncles, Rodney Scott, Lamont Gilchrist (Symetra), James McKeithen (Terri) and Clay Kelly (Terri); his grandparents, Waymon and Wentsel Davis of Sanford and Shirley Gilchrist of Cameron, NC; one special first cousin, Alfred Llyod Sneed Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
