Ms. Daniell Marque Gilchrist, 41, of Sanford, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Duke Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Daniell Marque Gilchrist, “Danni,” was born on November 9,1984, to Alice J. Tomlinson and Hollis Gilchrist. In the early afternoon hours of July 8, 2026, she won her fight and gained her  heavenly wings.

Daniell graduated from Western Harnett High and Fayetteville Technical College, earning her CNA license, and she worked as a CNA for many years throughout her adulthood.

Danni was a very outspoken and loving person. To know her was to love her. She told you like it was with no filter but with love. She loved her family with all of her heart and would do anything  that she could for any of them.

Danni enjoyed spending time with family and always looked forward to attending family reunions. She had a special spirit, and she knew and loved the Lord. Even through her sickness, she said  the Lord’s Prayer every morning and every night. She loved to do crossword puzzles, and her favorite television show was The Golden Girls. Danni was very book-smart and loved going to the beach. She was always about embracing and loving her natural beauty.

Danni was preceded in death by her sister, Angela Gilchrist; her maternal grandparents, Frances Judd Morrison, Leo Judd Sr., and Henry Gilmore; her paternal grandparents, Walter and Annie  Gilchrist; and her nephew, Tony A. Douglass.

Those left to cherish fond memories of Danni are her children, whom she loved with all of her heart, SGT. Glendon Savage of Fort Campbell, KY, Ladarius Gilchrist, and Sincere Savage of  Sanford, N.C., and Cameron and Anthony Gilchrist of the home; her mother, Alice J. Tomlinson of the home; her father, Hollis Gilchrist of Cameron NC; her sister, Latasha Tomlinson of the home;  her brothers, Virgil Tomlinson of Broadway, NC, Leevond Tomlinson of Cameron, and Fernandez Pratt (Felicia) of Raleigh, NC; her aunts, Katie Leach, Mary Grant (James), Annie Gilchrist, and  Bobbie Gilchrist; her uncles, IB Lester, Freddie Hill, Levander Gilchrist, Garner Gilchrist (Merrendia); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
