Consuelo Walker Obituary

Ms. Consuelo Walker, 55, of Goldsboro, North Carolina (formerly of Sanford, North Carolina) entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Consuelo Walker, age 55, passed away—much to the surprise of everyone who knew her, as she always seemed far too busy living life to slow down for anything, including the rules.

Consuelo was a woman of energy, humor, and undeniable presence. If there was laughter in the room, she was usually the reason for it—sometimes on purpose, sometimes because she told a story that went just a little bit off-script (and we loved her for both). She had a knack for speaking her mind, making friends wherever she went, and turning ordinary moments into memorable ones.

She approached life with a mix of stubborn determination and a playful spirit. Whether she was offering advice (solicited or not), sharing her opinions with confidence, or reminding her loved ones how much she cared—in her own unique style —Consuelo made sure you never forgot her.

Above all, she loved her family deeply—fiercely, loudly, and often with a sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes.

She is survived by her beloved spouse Ali Aycock; children, Letica Richardson, Elijah Blount, Taj Brown(Christy), and Tyshawn Mclean; her cherished grandchildren, Kassidy Richardson-Jones, Kennedy Richardson-Jones, Keylan Baldwin, Jhcari Ballwin; her brother James Ingram; sister Betty Ingram; and aunts, Lousie Walker of Winston- Salem, NC and Mary Bell Swann of Raleigh, NC. Her "favorite" Aunt Laura Walker "Lisa" McNeill passed away four days after her "favorite" niece.

Others remembering Consuelo are nephews and nieces, Walter, Iesha, Tonisha, Darryl, Tremaine, Myesha, Evonne, and Tomeka, and a host of cousins and extended family members and friends who quickly learned that being part of Consuelo’s circle meant laughter, honesty, and plenty of unforgettable moments.

She was preceded in death by parents Hazel Walker and Weldon Lee Ingram, special dad and mom Toby and Helen Walker Bryant, Brother Walter Walker, Sisters, Susan Walker and Teresa Ingram. She leaves behind a host of others and hearts that are fuller because of her, even as they ache in her absence. Her legacy lives on in the stories we’ll keep telling—loudly, with laughter, and probably with a little embellishment, just the way she would have liked it.

Consuelo taught us many things, including how to laugh at ourselves, how to stand our ground, and how important it is to enjoy life while you can. She will be dearly missed, fondly remembered, and lovingly quoted for years to come.

In her honor, we suggest you do something she would have appreciated: say what you mean, laugh a little louder, and don’t wait for special occasions to celebrate life.

She leases behind a host of others whose hearts are fuller because of her, even as they ache in her absence.
