Constance Nacor (Williams) Durham Obituary

Ms. Constance Nacor (Williams) Durham, 45, of Southern Pines, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 25, 2025.

Constance Nacor Williams Durham, affectionately known as “Nacor,” was born on August 4, 1979, in Dublin County, North Carolina, to the late Bernard and Constance Pride Williams. On July 25, 2025, she peacefully entered eternal rest, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, resilience, faith, and devotion.

Nacor was a graduate of Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines, North Carolina. She later went on to attend Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, North Carolina and North Carolina A&T  State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. Her passion for nurturing children led her to carry forward the legacy of the Little Teapot Childcare Center, a vision originally brought to life by her  mother.

Nacor’s life was a reflection of her deep faith, unwavering strength, and the love she poured into those around her. She found great joy in singing and used her voice to inspire and uplift others as  a member of AVOP (Anointed Voices of Praise), GGP (God Giving Praise), the R.L. Dockery Sanctuary Choir, and the NC A&T Fellowship Gospel Choir. She was also a proud and active member  of the American Legion Post 177.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Constance Pride Williams, as well as her siblings, Portland Woods, Robert Williams, and Shuris Sanders.

Nacor is survived by her husband, Roderick Durham, from whom she was estranged, and by her beloved partner, Roberta McRae. Together, Nacor and Roberta built a beautiful life, creating a  home overflowing with warmth, laughter, and joy. They lovingly raised seven cherished children: Jonathan Durham (Brenna), Chris Berrien, Sommora McRae, Miracle White, Tru-Vay McRae,  Malachi Ingram, and Tyler Durham.

Others left to cherish fond memories of Nacor are her siblings, Londie Williams, Petrina Harrington, Jawon Harrington (Ashley), and Rasheema Kelly (Timothy); her special aunt, Jackie Monroe  (Curtis); her sister-cousins, Poteressia Barnes (Greg), Chantay McNeil, and Chiyako Williams, who she shared a unique bond with. Nacor’s heart was fullest when surrounded by family, especially her precious grandchildren, Gia, Kiava, Brady Durham, and August McRae. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will continue to carry her  spirit in their hearts.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her devoted partner, children, grandchildren, family, and countless friends. Nacor’s life was a beautiful song—one of faith, love, and joy—and her melody will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.
