Mr. Clarence Edward McLeod, 67, of Aberdeen, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle, North Carolina. 

Clarence Edward McLeod, son of the late Troy Ferguson and Annie Lee McLeod Benson, was born on January 20, 1957, in Pinehurst, NC.

Clarence attended Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines, North Carolina. He earned a living grooming Racehorses at Pinehurst Harness Track. He also traveled from state to state and did  some volunteer work in Batavia, New York. He lived in Batavia, New York, for at least forty years and moved home a little over a year ago.

Clarence transitioned to be with Elohim on February 4, 2024, after years of illness. He was placed at Bethany Woods Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle, North Carolina, in  Stanly County shortly after moving back to North Carolina.

Clarence leaves to cherish his memory one aunt, Lenora McLeod of NC; one son, Terrance Gibson of Red Springs, NC; one sister, Margaret McLeod Pell (Raul) of North Carolina; two brothers, Charles E. McLeod of Augusta, Georgia, and Toy McLeod of NC; one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
