Growing up in Fremont, Michigan, Christopher attended Fremont Senior High School, graduating in 1983. During his high school years, he was actively involved in various activities, including being a member of the school band and spending four years as a dedicated track team member, where he earned the distinction of a four-year letter award winner. Christopher also served as a team manager for the boys’ basketball team, displaying his commitment to sports and teamwork.
Following his graduation, Christopher embarked on a new journey by joining the U.S. Marine Corps in 1984. During his time in the Corps, he served as an Infantryman and achieved the rank of Lance Corporal before his honorable discharge.
Following his military service, Christopher relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, where he encountered his first wife, Tiffany, with whom he shared the joy of welcoming their son, Christopher. Christopher explored various career paths throughout this period, from truck driving to restaurant management. Eventually, the family made the decision to move to Raleigh, North Carolina, to be closer to Christopher’s mother and his younger brothers, who had also chosen to establish their residence in Raleigh after leaving Fremont.
Christopher would become a businessman, opening his own tow truck company, which he operated for several years. During this time, he saw the birth of his second child, his daughter Chrisiona.
Christopher is preceded in death by his father, Henry McNair, and his brother, Alvin McNair (Karla).
He is survived by his son, Christopher; his daughter, Chrissy; and his mother, Geraldine McNair.
