Cheryl Elaine Medlin

Ms. Cheryl Elaine Medlin, 63, of Southern Pines, North Carolina  entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in Vass, North Carolina.

Cheryl Elaine Medlin, daughter of the late Bernice Medlin and Eunice Durant Medlin, was born on June 8, 1959, in Moore County, North Carolina. She departed this life on June 7, 2023, in Vass, North Carolina.

To the community, she was known as “Elaine” or “Lane.” Elaine worked at St. Joseph’s of the Pines for many years as a CNA, something she truly loved. Elaine’s faith in God was strong like the rest of her sisters. She was a person you could sit down and talk to about anything. She welcomed her home to the people she loved. She loved spending time with her sisters, daughter, and granddaughter. She truly enjoyed her days on this earth.

Elaine was truly loved by many, and she will be dearly missed by numerous people that loved and admired her. Among those left will many fond memories of Elaine are, her daughter, Adreal Medlin (Reese); her granddaughter, Brianna England; one sister, Mable Sloan (Charles) of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, Bernice Medlin, Jr. of Boston, Massachusetts; one nephew, Sylvester; one niece, Nadine; two greatnephews, Daquan and Daunte; one great-niece, Jamiah McKayhan; her special friends, Vivian Miller and Mary; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Now she has crossed over with her late three brothers and two sisters.
