Mr. Carlos Dwayne Person Jr., 24, of Spring Lake, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. 

Carlos Dwayne Person Jr., “DJ,” was a son, a brother, and a father. DJ, as he was affectingly called, had a heart of gold, going out of his way to ensure those around him felt good and safe.

Born April 4, 2000, he walked this Earth with his head up and chest out and was ready for a good relaxing laugh. December 14th was his last day here. He will now have the joy and peace he had been searching for with the company of loved ones who will continue to help and guide him on his journey through time.

He joins his brother, Ikiel, and they will continue to watch over us and his grandfathers, Anthony and Rosco, both of whom he took knowledge and comfort in their words of wisdom.

He leaves behind his daughter, Kensley; his beloved brothers and sisters, Shelia, Tyriq, Ta’Nashia, Da’Nashia, Mariah, Jeremiah, Qu’Ron, Jaquavious, Nasir, I’Mani, and Xavier; his  grandmothers; twelve aunts, who would smile joyfully at the smile he gave them.
